Distinguished and Famous people from Batemans Bay
Batemans Bay's connections with entertainment include a television performer who spent part of her childhood here and a beauty creator whose first recording space was a local bedroom.
🎨 Chloe Morello
Chloe Morello grew up in Batemans Bay and began making beauty tutorials in her bedroom. Her online following led to international brand work and business ventures, including Face Halo, discussed in a 2017 interview. She recalled having once assumed she would work in the family's motel. Instead, her experiments with makeup and video became a career reaching far beyond the town, while her mother could follow her television appearances from the family living room.
🎭 Lorraine Bayly
Actor Lorraine Bayly lived in Batemans Bay during her childhood, moving there after her father's police posting in Narrandera. She went on to work across theatre, film and television, with familiar roles including Grace Sullivan in The Sullivans and presenting Play School. She was born in Booligal; Batemans Bay belongs to her upbringing rather than her birthplace.
